The M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute is Asia's first film and television training institute founded in 1945. It is also known as the Adyar Film Institute and is run by the Tamil Nadu State Government under the Department of Information and Public Relations.
Bachelor of Visual Arts Programmes in
Cinematography, Digital Intermediate: Candidates should have passed the 10+2 exam in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry or Completed a vocational course with photography as a special subject or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering
Audiography: Candidates should have passed the 10+2 exam in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry or Completed a vocational course related to radio and TV or domestic electronic equipment as a special subject or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering
Screenplay Writing, Film Editing, Animation and Visual Effects: Candidates should have passed the higher secondary exam (10+2 exam) in any stream.
