JAM 2025: Joint Admission Test for Masters

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) is conducting the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2025. This entrance exam is for admission to various postgraduate programs in renowned institutions across India.

• Exam Date: February 2, 2025
• Admit Card Release: January 2025
• Result Declaration: March 19, 2025
• Scorecard Availability: March 25, 2025
• Admission Process Begins: April 2, 2025

Programs Offered:

• MSc
• MSc (Tech)
• MS (Research)
• MSc - MTech Dual Degree
• Joint MSc - PhD
• MSc - PhD Dual Degree

These programs are offered in various fields like biotechnology, chemistry, economics, geology, mathematics, mathematical statistics, and physics.

Participating Institutions:

• IITs: Bombay, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Dhanbad, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Palakkad, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Tirupati, Varanasi  
   
• IISc Bangalore (for various PG integrated programs)

Eligibility:

• Graduates and final-year undergraduate students can apply.
• The specific subjects studied in the undergraduate program and the corresponding papers to be taken in JAM will be available on the website.
• There is no age limit for appearing in JAM.

Exam Pattern:

• Computer-based exam with two sessions.
• Chemistry, geology, and mathematics will be held in the morning session, while biotechnology, economics, mathematical statistics, and physics will be held in the afternoon session.
• All exams are three hours long.
• Persons with disabilities will get an additional hour.
• The exam consists of 100 questions, each worth one mark.
• There are three types of questions: multiple-choice (30 questions), multiple-select (10 questions), and numerical answer type (20 questions).
• There is a negative marking for incorrect answers in the multiple-choice section.

Application Process:

• Applications can be submitted online at jam2025.iitd.ac.in until October 11, 2024.
• The application fee is Rs. 1800 for one paper and Rs. 2500 for two papers.
• Women, SC/ST candidates, and persons with disabilities can pay Rs. 900 for one paper and Rs. 1250 for two papers.
