Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research institution in India, is inviting applications for PhD and Integrated MSc-PhD programs. The institute has centers in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

• Mathematics: SOM (School of Mathematics), Mumbai; CAM (Center for Applicable Mathematics), Bengaluru
• Physics: TIFR Mumbai; ICTS (International Center for Theoretical Sciences), Bengaluru; NCRA (National Centre for Radio Astrophysics), Pune; TIFR Hyderabad
• Chemistry: TIFR Mumbai; TIFR Hyderabad
• Biology: TIFR Mumbai; NCBS (National Centre for Biological Sciences), Bengaluru; TIFR Hyderabad
• Computer Science & Learning: School of Technology & Computer Science, TIFR Mumbai
• Information & Data Science: TIFR Mumbai; HBCSE (Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education), Mumbai

Eligibility:

• Mathematics: MSc or equivalent degree with Mathematics as one of the main subjects.
• Physics: MSc or equivalent degree with Physics as one of the main subjects.
• Chemistry: MSc or equivalent degree with Chemistry as one of the main subjects.
• Biology: MSc or equivalent degree with Biology as one of the main subjects.
• Computer Science & Learning: MSc or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Information & Data Science: MSc or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Application:

• Applications can be submitted online on the TIFR website (www.tifr.res.in) until October 20.
• The application fee is Rs. 1000.
• Women, transgender applicants, and those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds can pay Rs. 500.

Fellowship Amount

42000 per month for PhD Fellows and for integrated course per month 25000/37000 will be provided for the first two years.

Along with that free accommodation or Housing Allowances will also be provided
