BITS Pilani Offers Design Programs; Applications Open Till January 31

BITS Pilani, a renowned university for science and technology research, is launching a design program this year. Applications are now open for admission to the BITS Design School in Mumbai. The last date to apply is January 31, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 45% marks.
• They must also have a good score in one of the following entrance exams:
  • NID DAT Prelims (https://admissions.nid.edu)
  • UCEED (www.uceed.iitb.ac.in/2025)
  • BITS-DAT (https://bitsdesign.edu.in)

Application Process:

• Applications can be submitted online from October 21 to January 31.
• The application fee is Rs. 2000.
• If you pay the application fee, you won't need to pay a separate fee for the BITS-DAT exam.

Program Details:

• The program is a 4-year full-time B.S. Design (Honors) program.
• The program offers specializations in Physical Product Design, Digital Product Design, Human-Centered Design, Experience Design, and Visual Design.
• The annual fee is around Rs. 10 lakhs, which includes tuition fees and residential fees.

Important Dates:

• BITS-DAT exam: March 31 - April 5
• BITS-DAT results: April 14
• Portfolio evaluation: April 21-28
• Interviews: May 2-12

Selection Criteria:

• The selection process will evaluate the candidate's commitment to design, creativity related to aesthetics, aptitude for design and problem-solving, and ability to express ideas.
