Coffee Board Invites Applications for Post Graduate Diploma in Coffee Quality Management

The Coffee Board of India is offering a Post Graduate Diploma in Coffee Quality Management to train individuals in the field of coffee tasting and quality assessment. The program aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to the Indian coffee industry.

Program Details

• Duration: 12 months, divided into three trimesters.
• Medium of Instruction: English.
• Curriculum: The curriculum covers a wide range of topics related to coffee, including coffee varieties, coffee agronomy, coffee chemistry, brewing technology, roasting technology, coffee pests and diseases, coffee processing and quality, quality assurance systems, soft skills, computer applications for quality management, coffee marketing and trade, quality management systems and distribution management.
• Practical Sessions: The program includes practical sessions for certain subjects.
• Dissertation: Participants will also be required to complete a dissertation.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Bioscience, Food Technology, Food Science, or Environmental Science with a focus on one of these subjects.
• Agricultural science degree is also acceptable.
• Academic excellence, personal interview, and sensory evaluation test will be considered for selection.
• Open category and coffee industry sponsorship are available.
• Coffee industry sponsorship will be given priority.

Selection Process

• Interviews and selection will be held on October 18.
• Course fee is ₹2,50,000 (₹1,25,000 for SC/ST candidates).
