Change in admission style

Until now, different central universities have adopted different criteria for admission. For example, marks for the Plus Two examination were the basis for graduate admission to Delhi University. But from now on, a student's board exam marks will not be eligible for admission to Central Universities.

Central universities will now admit students to degree courses based solely on the score of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). JMI has announced that this time only 8 courses will be admitted through the CUET rank list.

What is CUET

The Central University General Entrance Examination has been held before. However, only 14 universities participated in the entrance test. The change is that CUET has been made mandatory for graduate admission to all Central Universities from the 2022-23 academic year.

The CUET score can also be used for graduate admission by other universities and colleges.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for conducting the CUET.
