JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test)

  The JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) is an entrance examination for Ph.D. / Integrated MSc / M.Tech-PhD programs in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science, Neuroscience, and Computational Biology at over 30 leading institutes in India. The examination is held in the third week of February every year. The opportunity to apply is from November to mid-December in Physics and Theoretical Computer Science. However, only one can be interviewed. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati, Indian Institute of  Science and Technology (IIST) in Thiruvananthapuram, National Institute of Science Education and Research in Bhubaneswar (Center for Science and Research in Bengaluru) INCASR), Chennai Mathematical Institute, Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, Bass Institute, Calcutta, Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam, IGCAR, Indian Institute of Astro Physics, Bangalore (IIA) are some of the institutions providing the JEST front (DIS), The general eligibility for the JEST exam cannot be stated. Candidates with BSc, BE, B.Tech, Msc, MCA, ME and M.Tech qualifications can apply depending on the course chosen for each institution. Those who complete the qualifying examination in August of the respective year can also apply. Not only no age limit to write the exam, but also you can write as many times as you want.
