Students from developing Commonwealth countries, including India, can apply for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship. The project is funded by the Office of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office for those who are unable to study in the UK due to financial constraints or other reasons but have to study in their own country but do not have study facilities there.
Scholarships will be awarded for courses in six themes. Science and Technology, Health Systems and Capacity, Global Prosperity, Global Peace Security and Governance, Reliance and Response to Crisis, Access Inclusion and Opportunity.
Applicant must be a citizen and permanent resident of the country. First degree, at least in the second class (2: 1/60 percent -70 percent). Must be in a situation where it is not possible to study without a scholarship.
Each university will adopt its own selection process. Applications for the first course must be submitted by April 26, 17.00 British Summer Time, via the link provided to the University. You can apply to more than one university and course. Upon receipt of the admission offer, the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission must submit the scholarship application by May 10 at 17.00 (BST) through the relevant link on the same website. Universities will submit a list of those selected by June 4 to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. Applicants will be notified of the final decision by July. The scholarship will include tuition fees and a study grant.
