DST Invites Applications for INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, invites applications for INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship from young PhD holders for pursuing postdoctoral research in basic and applied sciences. The INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship is a component of the DST's INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) program.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be young PhD holders (up to 32 years as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation is available for women, Persons With Disabilities (PWD) and OBC candidates as per Government of India rules).
• Applicants should have a good academic record with publications in reputed journals.
• For faculty fellowship in translational research in Science and Technology, a minimum of two patents filed or granted is required.

Benefits:

• A fellowship amount of Rs. 1,25,000 per month. This amount will see an annual increment of Rs. 2,000.
• A research grant of Rs. 7 lakh per year.

Selection Process:

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

• Online applications along with required documents can be submitted by July 15th, 11:59 PM IST through the online portal https://www.online-inspire.gov.in/.
• PhD students who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree can also apply.
