JIPMER Announces Admissions for BSc Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Programs (2024-2025)

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, invites applications for admission to its Bachelor of Science (BSc) programs in Nursing and Allied Health Sciences for the academic session 2024-2025.  

Important Dates:

• Online Registration Opens: Thursday, October 3rd, 2024
• Online Registration Closes: Thursday, October 24th, 2024 (4:00 PM)
• Expected Eligible List Publication: On or Before November 8th, 2024 (website: www.jipmer.edu.in)
• Counseling and Admission Dates: To be announced later
• Commencement of Classes: Monday, November 25th, 2024

Offered Programs:

• BSc Nursing (4 years, including 24 weeks paid internship)
• BSc Allied Health Sciences Courses
  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS) (4 years with 3.5 years theory/practical and 6 months internship)
  • Other BSc Allied Health Sciences Courses (4 years with 3 years theory/practical and 1 year internship)

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Indian Nationality
2. Qualified NEET (UG) 2024 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA)
3. Age: Minimum 17 years by December 31st, 2024 (born on or before January 1st, 2008) - No age relaxation for any category.
4. Qualifying Examination:
   • Must have passed 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology (including practical tests) and English as prescribed by National Council of Educational Research and Training.
   • Minimum marks:
     • Unreserved/EWS: 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology
     • SC/ST/OBC: 40% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology
     • PwBD (Unreserved/EWS): 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology
   • Pass in all subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology, and English) individually.
