Kerala State Government Announces State Eligibility Test (SET) 2024 Application

The State Government of Kerala has published the application for the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2024. In order to ensure the standards of teaching in higher secondary courses, the government has decided that passing SET is a mandatory requirement for the appointment of Higher Secondary School teachers in the state. The SET exam is conducted by the LBS Center for Science and Technology in Thiruvananthapuram.

What's in the SET?

The SET has two papers:

• Paper I: It's the same for everyone. It has two parts: General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude.
• Paper II: This one focuses on the subject you studied at the Post Graduate (PG) level.

Test Duration: Each paper takes 120 minutes (2 hours).

Who Can Apply?

If you have a Master's Degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade and a B.Ed. degree from a Kerala university or an equivalent one, you can apply. Some subjects like Commerce, French, German, and more don't need a B.Ed. degree. For more information on eligibility visit the website

Age 

There's no age limit for taking the SET. So, everyone can apply.
