National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 Admission Notification

Admissions Open for Integrated M.Sc. Programmes at NISER, Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai

The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai, invite applications for admission to their 5-year Integrated M.Sc. programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences. These institutes were established by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet all three of the following criteria to be eligible for admission:

1. Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2022, 2023, or those appearing in 2024, are eligible to apply.
2. Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in the Class XII examination from any recognized Board in India. For SC/ST/Divyangjan candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.
3. NEST Merit List: Candidates must secure a position in the NEST 2024 merit list.

Scholarships:

• Annual Scholarship: Selected candidates will receive an annual scholarship of Rs 60,000 through the DISHA program of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.
• Summer Internship Grant: Scholarship recipients will also receive a grant of Rs 20,000 per annum for summer internships.

• Female Applicants: ₹700.00
• SC/ST/Divyangjan Applicants: ₹700.00
• Male/Others (General/OBC Category): ₹1400.00
