National Institute of Immunology PhD Admission

The National Institute of Immunology (NII), a premier autonomous research institution under the Department of Biotechnology, is inviting applications for its PhD program in the Winter Session of 2024-25. Selected candidates will be enrolled in the NII PhD program under the academic affiliation of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Eligibility

Candidates must have a Master's degree (M.Sc., M.Tech., M.B.B.S., M.Pharm., Integrated M.Sc.) or equivalent qualification as per Jawaharlal Nehru University regulations.

Entrance Exam

The selection process involves a computer-based NII Entrance Examination scheduled for October 27th at various centers across India. The exam will be of 1.5 hours duration with 60 objective-type questions.

Other Details

• Reservations: Candidates from SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD categories will be eligible for a 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks.
• Fellowship: Selected candidates will receive a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) of Rs. 37,000 per month.
• Research Areas: Immunology, Infectious and Chronic Diseases Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Chemical Biology, Structural Biology, Computational Biology, and other interdisciplinary fields.
