Forest Survey of India (FSI) Announces Recruitment for Technical Associates

The Forest Survey of India (FSI) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Associate on a contractual basis. This recruitment drive aims to fill 25 vacancies and offers a remuneration of Rs 37,000/- along with HRA, as applicable.

II. Selection Process

The selection process involves a three-tiered procedure:

1. Written Test

   • Multiple choice/short answer type
   • Topics include science, IT, computer science, and remote sensing/GIS

2. Hands-on Test

   • Limited to candidates qualifying the written test
   • Assess proficiency in Remote Sensing and GIS software usage

3. Interview

   • Final stage for selected candidates

III. Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualification:

A.

• Post Graduate degree in any Science subject or MCA or M.Sc. in IT/Computer Science or B Tech in IT/Computer Science/Civil Engineering
• Intermediate-level Maths and Physics
• Diploma or Certificate Course in Remote Sensing GIS

B.

• MSc/M. Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS
• Intermediate-level Maths and Physics

Desirable Experience:

• High Resolution Satellite Data processing for LULC Mapping
• SARLIDAR Drone processing and analysis Data
• Knowledge of AI/ML-based techniques in LULC Mapping
• Knowledge of RS/GIS software, including query building and spatial modelling
• Coding scripts using Open Source Platforms (e.g., Python)

Age Limit:

• The upper age limit is 30 years as of November 20, 2023
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicants as per government guidelines
