Job Opportunity: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position in NISER Bhubaneswar

Indian nationals are invited for an Online Interview (conducted via Google Meet) on 07.02.2024, at approximately 02:00 PM, for a temporary position of Junior Research Fellow under the project titled “Constraining the tectonic processes driving the subaerial emergence of continental crust on early Earth” in the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences at NISER Bhubaneswar. This project is funded by SERB, Govt. of India.

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in Geology/Geological Sciences/Applied Geology/Earth Sciences.
  2. Valid National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), or valid GATE.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in field sampling, Ecological data analysis, and handling molecular phylogenetic tools.

Monthly Emoluments:

₹31,000/- per month plus HRA (as per rules).

Age Requirement:

28 years as of 30.01.2024, with age relaxation for entitled categories as per rules.

Tenure:

The position is purely temporary for a period of six months or completion of the project, whichever is earlier. It is strictly co-terminus with the project and does not lead to a PhD degree in NISER. The position does not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration/absorption against any NISER post.
