Indian Army Short Service Commission Recruitment 2024-NCC Special Entry Scheme

Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female (including Wards of
Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel), for grant of Short Service Commission in the
Indian Army.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Nationality:

    • A candidate must either be:
      • (i) A citizen of India, or
      • (ii) A subject of Nepal, or
      • (iii) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  2. Age Limit:

    • For National Cadet Corps (NCC) candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties): 19 to 25 years as on 01 Jul 2024 (born not earlier than 02 Jul 1999 and not later than 01 Jul 2005; both dates inclusive).
  3. Educational Qualification and other Criteria:

    • For NCC 'C' Certificate Holders:
      • Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks (final year students are also eligible if they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of the degree course).
      • Service in NCC: Should have served for a minimum of two/three years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wg of NCC.

  • Online application will be open from 08 Jan 2024 at 1500 hrs and will close on 06 Feb 2024 at 1500 hrs.
