Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships – Call for Applications

The Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships are now open for applications, targeting highly motivated individuals with outstanding leadership qualities in India. This prestigious fellowship is designed for individuals who have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree, possess at least three years of professional work experience, and are committed to returning to contribute to their communities in India.

Fields of Study:

The fellowships, spanning up to two years, support pursuit of a master’s degree at U.S. colleges and universities in the following areas:

  • Economics
  • Environmental Science/Studies
  • Higher Education Administration
  • International Affairs
  • International Legal Studies
  • Journalism and Mass Communication
  • Public Administration
  • Public Health
  • Urban and Regional Planning
  • Women’s Studies/Gender Studies

Grant Benefits:

The Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships offer comprehensive support, including:

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following criteria, in addition to general prerequisites:

  • Completed an equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree from a recognized Indian university with at least 55% marks.
  • Possess a four-year bachelor's degree, a completed master's degree, or a full-time postgraduate diploma from a recognized Indian institution.
  • Have at least three years' full-time (paid) professional work experience relevant to the proposed field of study.
  • Demonstrate experience in leadership and community service.
  • Not have another degree from a U.S. university or be enrolled in a U.S. degree program.
  • If employed, follow instructions regarding employer’s endorsement.
