The Indian Air Force (IAF) has opened its doors for aspiring men and women to serve as Commissioned Officers in various branches. A total of 336 positions for men and 73 positions for women are available across multiple disciplines.
The selection process will be based on the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) scheduled to take place on February 22 and 23, 2025.
Branches Available for Recruitment
- Flying Branch
- Open for candidates with a passion for aviation and piloting.
- Ground Duty
a. Technical Branch- Roles available for Aeronautical Engineers in Electronics and Mechanical fields.
b. Non-Technical Branch
- Roles include Weapon Systems, Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education, and Meteorology.
c. NCC Special Entry
- Exclusive for NCC cadets to join the Flying Branch.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a degree in their respective areas of specialization to apply.
Selection Process
- Phase 1: Appear for the AFCAT in February 2025.
- Phase 2: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a five-day Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview, assessing their technical, leadership, and psychological aptitudes.
