UP GNM Entrance Test (UPGET) 2026

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University has released the official Information Bulletin for UP GNM Entrance Test (UPGET) 2026. This exam is mandatory for admission to the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course for academic session 2026-27 in all Government GNM Nursing Colleges and Private Institutions (except Private Universities) across Uttar Pradesh.

Online application starts: 29 April 2026
Last date to apply 26 May 2026 (11:59 PM)
Form correction window 19 to 26 May 2026
Admit card release (tentative)  09 June 2026

Entrance exam date  16 June 2026 (11:00 AM to 1:20 PM)

 

Application Fee

General / OBC: Rs. 3000/-
SC / ST / PwD: Rs. 2000/-

Fee is non-refundable and to be paid online.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Age: Minimum 17 years as on 31 December 2026.

Education (any one):

– 10+2 with English and minimum 40% aggregate (excluding English) from any recognised board, including NIOS or State Open School.
– 10+2 with English and 40% marks in vocational ANM course from an INC-recognised school.
– 10+2 with English and 40% marks in vocational Healthcare Science from CBSE/State/Centre.
– Registered ANM with passing marks.

5% marks relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Candidates awaiting 12th/ANM results may also apply.

Domicile (for government seats): Must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh or have passed both Class 10th and 12th from UP.

Nationality: Indian citizens only.

Mode: Offline (OMR based)
Total Questions: 100
Marks per question: 1
No negative marking
Duration: 140 minutes
Medium: Bilingual (English and Hindi)

Subject breakup:
– Science (Class 10 level): 50 questions
– General Knowledge (Class 12 level): 30 questions
– English (Class 12 level): 20 questions

 

Tie-Breaking Rule

If two or more candidates obtain equal marks, merit will be decided by:
1. Higher marks in Science section
2. Higher marks in English section
3. Higher marks in General Knowledge section
4. Older age candidate
5. Higher Class 10th percentage

Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Basti, Banda, Ghaziabad, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Varanasi, Gautam Buddha Nagar.

Centres may change due to administrative reasons.
