Eligibility Criteria & Standards
- Academic Qualification: Degree from a recognized university or its equivalent in any discipline.
- Medical Standard: Candidates must meet the stringent A-2 Medical Category standard (Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses; Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 without glasses, along with passing color vision, binocular vision, and night vision tests).
- Age Relaxation: Standard upper-age relaxations apply for OBC-NCL (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per government directives.
Stages of Examination
- Stage 1 CBT: Objective screening test evaluating General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning.
- Stage 2 CBT: Detailed stage-specific examination focusing on domain aptitude and advanced analytical reasoning.
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Mandatory psycho-technical aptitude test specifically required for the Station Master post (minimum qualifying score required in each test battery).
- Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Scrutiny of original credentials followed by the A-2 medical fitness examination.
