Programs & Eligibility Criteria
UCEED 2027 (Bachelor of Design – B.Des):
- Academic Qualification: Candidates who have passed all subjects in Class XII (or equivalent) in 2026 or appearing in 2027 in ANY stream (Science, Commerce, Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
- Age Limit: Open/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2002. A 5-year relaxation applies for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
- Attempts: A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years.
CEED 2027 (Master of Design – M.Des & Ph.D.):
- Academic Qualification: Completed a degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of minimum 3 years (after 10+2) or appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2027.
- Age Limit: No age limit for appearing in CEED.
- Attempts: There is no restriction on the number of attempts for CEED.
Examination Pattern
- Part-A (Computer Based Test – CBT): Objective test assessing visualization and spatial ability, observation and design sensitivity, environmental awareness, analytical and logical reasoning.
- Part-B (Pen & Paper Based): Evaluates sketching, creative thinking, design aptitude, and problem identification ability on the physical question-cum-answer booklet.
