Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), an autonomous institution under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is inviting applications for its PhD program (January 2025 session) in various fields like Disease Biology, Neurobiology, Plant Science, and Bioinformatics. Affiliated with the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad, RGCB offers a unique opportunity for research-oriented individuals.

Eligibility:

• A master’s degree in Life Sciences, Agriculture, Environment, Veterinary, Pharmaceutical, Medical Sciences or related fields (such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biophysics, Chemistry, Microbiology) with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
• A valid Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is mandatory.
• Candidates with equivalent qualifications from foreign universities can also apply.

Selection Process:

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interaction with faculty members.
• The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance test, interview, and research proposal.
