The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad invites applications for Admission to the Doctoral Programme in Management (PhD) for the academic year 2026–27. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- A Master’s Degree or Two-Year Post Graduate Diploma (after a bachelor’s degree) with at least 55% marks, OR
- A 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks, OR
- A professional qualification such as CA/CS/CMA with a minimum of 50% marks, along with a bachelor’s degree (55%), OR
- A four-year/eight-semester bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 65% marks.
Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s or master’s programmes are also eligible to apply.
Relaxation: SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS/PwD applicants receive a 5% relaxation in minimum marks.
Standard Test Requirement
All applicants must submit CAT scores or the relevant standard test score (GRE/GMAT/GATE/UGC-NET JRF**, depending on specialization).
Only test-center based GRE/GMAT scores are accepted. Online “at-home” scores are not valid.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on:
- Performance in CAT or the accepted standard test
- Academic background
- Work experience (where applicable)
- Other application parameters
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for online or in-person interviews depending on prevailing health advisories. Interviews are expected to take place during March–April 2026.
