Applications are now being accepted for admission to Sainik Schools in Kerala for the upcoming academic year. Students seeking admission to classes 6 and 9 can apply online until January 13th, 2024. Girls are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Class 6: Candidates must be between 10 and 12 years of age as of March 31, 2025 (born between April 1, 2013, and March 31, 2015).
• Class 9: Candidates must be between 13 and 15 years of age as of March 31, 2025 (born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012).

Entrance Examination:

• All candidates must qualify in the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
• The entrance exam is scheduled for January 19th, 2024.

Newly Approved Sainik Schools:

• Alappuzha: Vidyadhiraja Vidyapeetham Central School (80 seats for Class 6)
• Ernakulam: Sree Sharada Vidyalayam (80 seats for Class 6)
• Kozhikode: Vedavyasa Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School (3 seats for Class 9)

Admission Process:

• Admission will be based on merit in the entrance examination, an interview, and the candidate’s medical fitness.
