The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) invites applications for its PhD program for the academic year 2024.

Eligibility:

• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).

Selection Criteria:

• For candidates with UGC-NET (Category 2 and 3):
  • 70% weightage for NET score
  • 30% weightage for performance in the personal interview
• For valid JRF holders:
  • Selection based solely on performance in the personal interview
• For JRF holders not selected based on the interview:
  • 70% weightage for NET score
  • 30% weightage for performance in the personal interview

Important Dates:

• Registration Deadline: December 4, 2023
• Online Personal Interviews (OPI): December 12, 13, 14, and 16, 2023
• Merit List: December 24, 2023
• Orientation: January 14 and 15, 2024
• Coursework Commencement: January 16, 2024
